Remembering 9/11: 24 years later
This morning, I marked the 24th anniversary of 9/11 by attending a remembrance ceremony at Syracuse’s Forman Park. Part of it was 17 minutes of silence – that’s the length of time between when the planes crashed into the Twin Towers. I would like to thank the Syracuse Police Department and the Syracuse Fire Department for hosting.
As a Legislator, I can’t say enough about of the sacrifice that our first responders made that day and still make every day in our community. As a fellow first responder, I am honored to be part of this team that puts their lives at risk helping other people.
May we never forget, may we always honor, and may we always do what is best for our country, our community and our first responders.
